Rolf Zurbrügg, multiple and successful PdG participant, ex-coach of the Swiss Ski Team and an internationally acclaimed mountain guide, was born in 1971 and grew up in Adelboden. During his school years, he climbed almost all the mounains around the Engstlig Valley with his family. With difficulty and poor materials, he also went on regional ski tours already then and, occasionally, such tours would end before he could reach the summit. Influenced by these experiences and once he left school, he pursued other sports, mainly cross-country skiing. After completing his apprenticeship as a bricklayer, he once again began to focus on mountain sports and also got interested in training as a mountain guide, successfully completing his training in 2005. Rolf loves variety in his profession as well the adventures and various activities he experiences in company with his guests.
